Located on the fifth floor of John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital, our Ronald McDonald Family Room is a welcoming, home-like space for families steps away from their children in the hospital. As guests enter the room, RMHC of WNY volunteers are there to greet them.
This special room allows families to take a break from the hospital’s stress, providing a moment of relaxation and a chance to recharge while staying close to their child’s bedside. Complimentary beverages and snacks are available.
For added convenience, our Ronald McDonald Family Laundry Room is located just across the hall.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital is open Monday through Friday, 8:00-3:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. -11:30 a.m.
We invite all families with a patient in the hospital to visit our room for complimentary beverages and snacks.
Our Ronald McDonald Hospitality Cart visits patient floors on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Located across the hall from our Ronald McDonald Family Room, our Family Laundry Room provides families with a space to wash their clothes or their child’s favorite blanket and toy. Families will find:
A family with a seriously ill or injured child can spend long hours and many days at the hospital. At these times, simple comforts – an activity book, a cookie, or a toy to play with – can help to put a smile on their face.
Our Ronald McDonald Hospitality Cart travels room to room through the pediatric floors at John R. Oshei Children’s Hospital, and through the Mother/Baby and NICU units at Sisters of Charity Hospital, offering patients and families complimentary beverages, snacks, and activities while enabling them to remain at their child’s bedside.
Since its inception, this program has provided support and care to more than 20,000 children and families.
